THE RIO GRANDE: AN EAGLE'S VIEW

Contact

When we conceived of and began implementing our vision for this book we knew that we did not want it to be a polemic about the river’s past, present or its uncertain future. We wanted it to stand on its own artistic merit and to inspire people from all walks of life. Nevertheless WildEarth Guardians is an environmental advocacy organization with a well-articulated belief that there are too many demands that are tapping the river dry; and a belief that water policy throughout the Rio Grande watershed needs to change if we are to sustain a living river ecosystem.

For more information about our efforts to implement changes in practice and policy that will protect the Rio Grande please visit our Free-Flowing Rio Grande program page or contact our Wild Rivers Program Director at .  There is much work to be done to protect this beautiful river and we’d love to have your help.

In addition to continuing to promote and sell the book we are interested in and available to make presentations to your organization or group.  Either Adriel Heisey or John Horning, WildEarth Guardians’ Executive Director, can do a slide-show or multi-media presentation that provides a visual tour of the river, highlighting its many threats as well as opportunities for its protection. Please contact us at 505-988-9126 x1150 to schedule an event.
